Overview
Located in northern Kenya’s spectacular Laikipia region, The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille is regarded as one of Kenya’s most exclusive safari lodges in the most spectacular and breath taking location. Situated in the rolling hills of the Laikipia Plateau, in the Ol Lentille Conservancy, the Sanctuary at Ol Lentille is a breathtaking place to visit, and a great base from which to explore this fascinating and diverse part of Kenya.
Each villa is fully staffed and serviced with a butler, valet, guide (and safari vehicle), askari (guard) and exceptional food by an international chef. All safari activities are private per villa. Explore the private reserve by mountain biking, quad biking, horse riding and camel safaris as well as game drives. Four stunning private villas on a hilltop in Laikipia, with seemingly never-ending views.
Close community participation is the cornerstone of the Lentille project. If you want you can put yourself to good work on your vacation, helping on conservation or in community projects. You will be able to learn about the traditional and contemporary Maasai way of life and the challenges faced by groups in such a remote area.
On your first day of your luxury Kenya safari board a flight to the Samburu region in Kenya's northern wilds, which is rich in cultural history. This semi-arid region is home to Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and the Somali Ostrich. Feel the heat; learn about the ecosystem and the harsh realities of life in African wilderness while on a walking safari with a Samburu guide. For the more adventurous take a camel ride; or take a 5-hour walk along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River and fly camp in the wilderness, sleeping under the African stars. Safari tours in Kenya are as much about the local culture as the wildlife and during your stay, there will be the opportunity to visit a local Samburu homestead and learn about their way of life. They are nomadic pastoralists who are renowned for their colourful dress and bead work. Stay: Sanctuary at Ol Lentille.
Situated in the northern reaches of Kenya and positioned on one of the highest points in Laikipia, Ol Lentille’s prime location offers unsurpassed views and exclusivity, by nature. Surrounded by green valleys and hills, The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille sits on the northern escarpment of Kenya’s Laikipia Plateau within 40 000 acres of untamed wilderness – meaning you have three times the size of Manhattan to explore! With its elegant, tasteful decor complementing the beauty of distant Mount Kenya and Ol Olokwe Mountain, this luxurious establishment makes for a comfortable and unique safari retreat where all activities are completely private.

Here guests will find a lodge where everything is as it ought to be: two intimate camps of just fifteen tented suites each, a private airfield and access to the Mara below, tailor-made safari days and a famously warm Kenyan welcome.
Perched right on the edge of the escarpment, each of Angama Mara’s spacious 100 sqm Tented Suites has floor-to-ceiling glass spanning all along the front to make the most of the dramatic views.
