Overview
Ololo Safari Lodge, owned and run by an Australian farming family, offers the warmth and comfort of a home with effortless style and personalized service. Originally an old Kenyan homestead and since converted to a small lodge, Ololo is perfectly situated, on the beautiful banks of the Mbagathi River which forms the southern border of the Nairobi National Park.
The lodge is a mere 45-minute drive through the park from Nairobi and both main airports, yet the lodge's secluded location feels like a world away. Set on a productive 20 acre working farm Ololo offers the joys of delicious ‘paddock to plate’ fresh ingredients. With our established and secluded gardens, guests are able to settle in and soak up a unique safari experience.
Ololo’s rooms are unique and diverse, each tastefully appointed with attention to historical detail. The accommodation at Ololo ranges from the farm's old converted stables, tented cottages under makuti thatch and to the original suites in the main house of the lodge.

Wildlife is right on your doorstep and you can enjoy breathtaking views over the Nairobi national park, to the famed Ngong Hills in the west, sundowner at hand. Overview
Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is set along "the Lion Hill" in Lake Nakuru National Park in Kenya. Concealing its remote location amidst Kenya's Great Rift Valley, the safari lodge offers the most scenic and spectacular views of the Lake and the National Park from its 67 chalet style rooms, all with terraces and a sense of calm and relaxation provided by its classic aesthetic and timeless design. Beyond the stunning views and amazing wildlife, Lion Hill offers great food, a Panoramic Bar Terrace, organic gardens, a swimming pool and a spa.
Lake Nakuru National Park is a popular safari destination for game drives, bird watching, hiking, picnics and more. It is home to a large variety of wildlife (including the black rhino) Its beautiful lake and green surroundings have attracted people from far and near making this National Park a favorite getaway destination. Lake Nakuru is Kenya’s third largest lake, after Lake Turkana and Lake Victoria, and has one of the largest populations of flamingos in the world
After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru, arriving in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. The park is a haven for bird lovers, with over 400 species of bird – although be aware that the number of birds here fluctuates dependent on water level, so it’s best to check with the park if this is your primary reason for visiting. Lake Nakuru National Park also provides habitat for lion, leopard, buffalo and Rothschild giraffe, as well as white rhino and the endangered black rhino. Stay: 2 nights at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge
Set on a plateau along the Lion Hill, Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is arguably one of the best accommodations from which to view the incredible Lake Nakuru and the thousands of flamingos that line its shores. Overview
Set amongst the forest at the foot of the scenic Oloololo escarpment (the rim of the Great Rift Valley) in Kenya’s iconic Masai Mara National Reserve, is the classic and elegant Bateleur Camp. Comprised of just two intimate camps of nine tented suites each and a family tent; each elegant tent, with its own private butler and housekeeper reflects the ambiance and glamour of Kenyan explorers of old. Slip into a world of hardwood floors, polished silver and copper bathtubs juxtaposed against the romance of the open Mara plains, with their abundant herds of wildlife. Beautifully handcrafted artefacts, fine antiques, leather buttoned Chesterfield sofas, books, and crystal and candlelight adorn the comfortable sitting and dining areas.
Refreshing lap pools in each camp provide cool comfort in between captivating game drives. Delectable cuisine is served in a memorable setting beneath the stars and bush breakfasts and romantic sundowners offer an unforgettable African experience. Adventures at Bateleur Camp include twice-daily game drives, including spot-lit night drives. The camp also offers a range of additional activities such as bush walks, hot air balloon safaris, community excursions, a well- equipped gym and wellness treatments in our massage sala.
After an early breakfast, drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The most famous reserve in the world, the Maasai Mara is what safari dreams are made of – rolling grasslands and wide open savannah, rich in African wildlife. Here is the place to witness the incredible annual wildebeest migration between July and October as over a million animals thunder across the plains in search of water and grazing – but the Mara has mass appeal all year round. Spot lions basking in the shade or seek out an elusive solo leopard.
You have the option of doing a hot air balloon ride that will offer you an entirely different perspective of the Mara, when the bright pink-orange haze is visible for miles across the vast savannah and wildlife becomes distinguishable from their silhouette forms below. Afterwards, you’ll head out on morning and afternoon game drives. The reserve offers fantastic chances of seeing the Big Five – and even better opportunities for viewing big cats. Other wildlife to spot includes elephant, giraffe, hyena, impala, wildebeest and buffalo. Stay: 2 nights at Bateleur Camp
Day 6: Depart, Transfer Nairobi
After an early breakfast, you’ll begin the long drive back to Nairobi. Approx. journey time: 7 hours. Transfer to the airport for your return flight home. Here, we will wave a fond farewell to you and your family as your once-in-a-lifetime Kenyan safari comes to an end.
